The channel dredging work through 49 workers that has been carried out since February on Jalan Kesehatan I to X, RW 06 Petojo Selatan Urban Village, Gambir, Central Jakarta has reached 70 percent.

Gambir Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit Head Muhammad Imawan mentioned that the channel was dredged to follow up on residents' requests through Musrenbang 2021 since mud thickness had reached 70 centimeters.
"If it is ignored, it will trigger inundation," he conveyed, Tuesday (3/29).

"We have finished the dredging in the channel along Jalan Kesehatan I to V. While from Jalan Kesehatan IV to X is estimated to be completed in mid-April," he said.
It was done manually using simple tools such as a hoe, crowbar, cart, and plastic sack.
"So far, we have transported about 50 cubic meters of mud," he stated.
