The Kembangan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit personnel are dredging the Meruya Indah connecting (phb) channel on Jalan Meruya Selatan, Kembangan, West Jakarta.

Kembangan Sub-district SDA Unit Head Mulyadi mentioned the dredging was carried out to minimize inundation.
"It has been carried out since a week ago by deploying 13 personnel," he conveyed, Wednesday (4/6).

"It is dredged down to the bottom layer with a thickness of about 1 meter," he informed.
He targeted to finish it in the next two weeks.
"We clean the sediment to optimize the channel's capacity," he added.
He also urged residents not to throw garbage into the channel thus it could function optimally, especially when it rained heavily.
"After it is finished, it can minimize inundation in Meruya Indah area," he closed.
