43 Households to Follow Muara Baru Flat Units Raffling Process

The residents who live in wet section area at the east side of Pluit Reservoir, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, will be relocated to Muara Baru Flat. The wet section area itself stretches for as long as 3.5 kilometers, starting from the pump house until Jalan Muara Baru.

For start, 43 households at RT 19/17 Penjaringan will follow the flat units raffling process on Wednesday (12/10). But first, they must complete the documents needed to be verified for administration completeness, such as ID cards (KTP), family cards (KK), and domicile certificates.

“We’re still recording the number of residents living in the wet section area. Until now, 536 households to be relocated have been recorded. We predicted there are about 700 families live there,” stated Head of Penjaringan Sub-District, Rusdiyanto, Wednesday (12/10).

According to him, after the residents received the keys of their flat units, they are given three days to tidy up their houses in Pluit Reservoir wet section area. After that, a team will demolish their houses by force.

Yayat (64), a resident of RT 19/17 Penjaringan, welcomes the relocation program because his dream to live in a decent and comfortable home would finally be realized.

“I’ve been living for 14 years in Muara Baru and often times flooded during rainy season. That’s why I am grateful for this relocation,” he expressed.
