Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of April 18

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of April 18.

The number of people tested last week has reached 53,686

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated that the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 248 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 2,368 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (4/18).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 8,1273specimens. 6,279 of them were to diagnose new cases with 170 positive and 6,109 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 16,235 were tested, with 60 positive results and 16,175 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week.

"This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 53,686, while 991,011 people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 1,228,205 people have been cured with a cure rate of 98.6%, and 15,250 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.6%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 3.7%, while in Indonesia was 11.8%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,508,810 people (124%), with a proportion of 70.3% residents of Jakarta and 29.7% non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 1,236 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,634,133 people (105.5%), with a proportion of 73.4% residents of Jakarta and 26.6% non-residents of Jakarta. As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 3,268,329 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 25,356 people (Note: the data on the number of vaccinations for the third dose was recorded to be lower due to difficulties in retrieving data from the KPCPEN dashboard).
