Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of April 20

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of April 20.

The number of people tested last week has reached 52,720

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated that the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 35 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 2,196 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Wednesday (4/20).

Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of April 19, 2022

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 11,729 specimens. 9,645 of them were to diagnose new cases with 231 positive and 9,414 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 18,581 were tested, with 59 positive results and 18,522 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week.

"This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 52,720, while 992,598 people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 1.228.783 people have been cured with a cure rate of 98.6%, and 15,254 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.6%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 3.1%, while in Indonesia was 11.8%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,514,080 people (124.1%), with a proportion of 70.2% residents of Jakarta and 29.8% non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 3,083 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,642,076 people (105.5%), with a proportion of 73.2% residents of Jakarta and 26.8% non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was 3,088 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 3,378,866 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 29,833 people (Note: the data on the number of vaccinations for the third dose was recorded to be lower due to difficulties in retrieving data from the KPCPEN dashboard).

Jakarta Satpol PP continues to intensify the health protocol monitoring during PPKM Level 2 in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. The imposed sanctions are in form of social work, fines, temporary suspension of activity, and revocation of business license.
