Subsidized Food Aid Given to 3,430 Seribu Islands Residents

The Seribu Islands Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency has started distributing subsidized food aid to 3,430 residents in Seribu Islands across nine residential islands. It has been ongoing from April 20 to 23,2022.

Seribu Islands KPKP Sub-agency Head Devi Lidya conveyed that it was one of the Jakarta Government's programs to meet the food security of Jakarta residents, especially in Seribu Islands. The aid itself was targeting holders of KJP, elderly cards, and disability cards, including PJLP personnel with salaries equal to Jakarta UMP.
"We will distribute the aid in stages until April 23," she mentioned, Thursday (4/21).
KPKP Agency: Strategic Food Stock in Jakarta Safe Ahead of EidOn Wednesday (4/20), it had been distributed to 363 residents on Harapan Island and 147 others on Sabira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district.
"Today, we have distributed the aid to Kelapa and Kelapa Dua islands in the form of 875 chickens, 875 kilograms of beef, 873 trays of eggs, 875 sacks of rice, 753 cartons of milk, and 835 kilograms of fish," she explained.
According to the plan, the same action was also conducted to residents on Untung Jawa, Lancang, and Pari islands on Friday (4/22), as well as continued on Pramuka and Panggang islands on Saturday (4/23).
Food commodities distributed in this subsidized food program consisted of 5 kilograms of premium rice sold for Rp 30,000; 1 kilogram of beef for Rp 35,000; and 1 chicken for Rp 8,000.
Meanwhile, 1 kilogram of mackerel sold for Rp 13,000; 1 carton of milk (24 pcs) for Rp 30,000; 1 tray of eggs for Rp 10,000. The normal price for 1 food package was Rp 372,800 but in this program, beneficiaries could buy it for only Rp 126,000.
"Hopefully, it can help many people. For a food package, they only need to pay Rp 100,000," she said.
