UUS Bank DKI Wins Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2022

The Sharia Business Unit (UUS) Bank DKI received the Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2022 with Outstanding Sharia Banking Products and Development Programs in the Sharia Business Unit of Conventional Bank category from Media Warta Ekonomi.

The award was achieved, as they recorded positive financial performance growth in the 1st Quarter of 2022.

As for the information, the UUS Bank DKI had distributed financing of Rp 6.35 trillion until the first quarter of 2022 which grew 6.41 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 by Rp 5.96 trillion.

Third-party funds or DPK UUS Bank DKI in the first quarter of 2022 also grew 21.60 percent to Rp 6.96 trillion compared to the first quarter of 2021 which was Rp 5.73 trillion.

The various financial performance achievements had driven an increase in assets which grew by 18.79 percent from Rp 6.33 trillion in the first quarter of 2021 to Rp 7.53 trillion in the first quarter of 2022.

"These various financial performance indicators have pushed the profit in the first quarter of 2022 which was recorded at Rp 45.84 billion," he expressed, Friday (4/22).

In developing its business, this sharia business was optimizing sharia banking services for the Jakarta BUMD environment and strengthening the MSME sector by using Jakone Abank's digital services.

They are also synergizing with PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF) to support the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program through the signing of the Mudharabah Muqayyadah financing agreement to participate in increasing the financing capacity of housing ownership for the community.

There were also various Islamic financial solutions such as Hajj and Umrah Savings (Taharoh) with auto-debit, KMG Syariah financing, and presenting Scan to Pay QRIS JakOne Pay which could be used to make digital payments of zakat, infaq, and alms.

Then, to encourage the digitization of banking services to various communities in Jakarta, they collaborated with the Global Spirit of Ummah Foundation to launch the Maqashid Syariah Thematic Qur'an.

This service was a factor in the differentiation of UUS Bank DKI from other Islamic banks as it had historical significance as the first bank to publish the thematic Qur'an of Islamic economics as a manifestation of the commitment to educating sharia financial literacy in Indonesia.

The bank also supports the non-cash payment system via Bank DKI's QRIS at various mosques in Jakarta.

"By becoming a QRIS partner of Bank DKI, sharia institutions, and mosques that work together, Bank DKI can make managing financial transactions of members and congregations easier," he continued.

He added that the administrators of sharia institutions and mosques could monitor payment and financial transactions in real-time and online. Thus far, Bank DKI has provided QR Codes for more than 2,928 mosques spread across various areas in Jakarta.

Some of them are big mosques such as the Istiqlal Mosque, Sunda Kelapa Mosque, and various other mosques, including the KH Hasyim Asyari Grand Mosque.

"With innovative and customer-centric products and services, UUS Bank DKI hopes to continuously provide sharia services in the financial, social, and spiritual fields optimally for Jakartans," he hoped.
