Portable Toilets Provided for Fire Victims at Gembrong Market

Assistance in the form of one toilet car and three portable toilets were placed at the fire location, precisely in Gembrong Market area, Jalan Basuki Rahmat, RW 01, Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village (CBU), Jatinegara. They have been available since Monday (4/25) and will be alerted for a week.

East Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency Head Wahyudi Rudianto said it was carried out to lighten the fire victims' burden to defecate.

"Hope it can lighten their burden. Moreover, there were about 400 households or 1,000 people affected by yesterday's fire, and many residents' houses were badly damaged by the fire," he said, Tuesday (4/26).

The sub-agency also provided 4,000 liters of clean water every day.

"We also prepared a compactor car unit to clean the streets from the dirt left by the fire," he explained.

He added as many as 35 task forces had been alerted to help residents clean up the remnants of the building from the fire.

"About the investigation, it's been done by the police," he stated.
