Jakarta Provincial Government launches smart city application. With this application, the apparatus can directly monitor and follow up citizens’ complaints as well as monitor the performances of sub-district and urban village heads in responding those complaints.
All sub-district and urban village heads as well as other apparatuses to download this (smart city) application, so we can monitor your response. If long (responding), we would demote you
This application is a concept that embodies a new model of governance that involves the citizens in forming public policies. The budget used for this application is quite cheap, Rp 3.5 billion.
“I express my appreciation to Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Public Relations Department that successfully realized this application with a limited budget. My efforts weren’t in vain urging Waze, Safetipin, and Swakita,” expressed Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama on the sidelines of smart city application launching at City Hall, Monday (12/15).
Send Your Aspiration through Smart City ConceptMoreover, Ahok instructs all his ranks, especially sub-district and urban village heads, to download the application of public opinion quick response (CROP). Not only that, the citizens are also asked to install the QLUE application.
“All sub-district and urban village heads as well as other apparatuses to download this (smart city) application, so we can monitor your response. If long (responding), we will demote you,” he asserted.
Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Public Relations Department, Agus Bambang Setiowidodo, told that besides QLUE application, the citizens can also access the smartcity.jakarta.go.id. This website is integrated with social media applications in which citizens can file complaints, such as email: dki@jakarta.go.id, twitter: @jakartagoid, facebook: jakarta.go.id, community hall: jakarta.go.id, petajakarta.org, lapor.ukp.go.id or SMS 1708, and Google Waze.
“QLUE application can be downloaded in android play store. It has a means of delivering complaint aspirations in real time about traffic congestion, flood, trash, jockey 3in1, illegal parking, beggars. Those complaints can be reported based on location and picture,” he explained.
According to Setiowidodo, QLUE application is also integrated to the website of smartcity.jakarta.go.id. All citizens’ reports on the website and application are directly connected to CROP, an android application which specially downloaded by city administration apparatuses and police officers. This application is a dashboard mapping using Google Maps platform as the basic of digital mapping.
“Government apparatus that follows up the report will send a response via smartcity.jakarta.go.id which directly connected to QLUE application,” he told.
Among the data that integrated with smartcity.jakarta.go.id are fiber optic lines, water level, tower location, police post, demographic data, and so on. City officials can monitor Jakarta’s condition through integrated CCTVs at sluices, highways, etc. In the future, smart city application will be developed, thus Jakartans can know about the amount of land and building tax (PBB) until urban planning.
