Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, Jakarta Distributes Various Aids to the Needy

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan symbolically distributed basic needs social aid to holders of the Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ), Jakarta Persons with Disabilities Card (KPDJ), Jakarta Child Card (KAJ), and youth stimulant funds, as well as the submission of Jakarta Worker Card (KPJ) Phase 2, at the Pattern Room, Jakarta City Hall, on Thursday (4/28).

"We commit to realizing social justice and welfare for every resident. Alhamdulillah, the social aid distribution runs well before Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri. Hope it can be useful for them," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) Head Premi Lasari explained that because of data refinement, the old recipient who had died, changed address outside Jakarta, their whereabouts could not be found, more than 6 years old (for KAJ recipients) no longer received social aid. As for the number of KLJ recipients reached 104,448 people, KPDJ reached 14,230 people, and KAJ reached 10,553 people.

"The recipients here are included in the Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS) for the determination of August 2021, which will then be determined through urban village meetings. The aid is distributed in stages, starting from April 8, 2022, and the rest will be distributed through account and ATM cards for new social aid recipients by Bank DKI, the schedule will be further informed," he explained.

The disbursement of aid funds was accumulated from January to April 2022. The recipients of KLJ aid would receive money of Rp 2,400,000 which was an accumulation of Rp 600,000 per month. While the recipients of KPDJ and KAJ aid would receive money of Rp 1,200,000 which was an accumulation of Rp 300,000 per month.

Residents who feel they are entitled to this aid but have never received it can register through the DTKS registration mechanism. Information on the schedule and requirements could be obtained through the Data Collection Officer and Social Aid at the local urban village office and/or the Head of the Social Executing Unit at the local sub-district office.

Regarding Karang Taruna stimulant funds, it was given to 267 urban village Karang Taruna and 1,976 Karang Taruna work units (UKKT) at the RW level. The amount of stimulant funds received by the urban village Karang Taruna was Rp 1,000,000 and Rp 500,000 for UKKT RW.

"Stimulant funds for Karang Taruna can be used as operational costs in the context of organizing Karang Taruna empowerment. Hope they can be a motivator for youth to carry out social activities in their environment," he explained.

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy (Disnakertransgi) Agency Head Andri Yansyah explained that his agency handed over the Jakarta Worker Card Phase 2/2022 as many as 457 cards.

The agency had also carried out a trial using the Jakarta Worker Card which was carried out simultaneously at 6 locations in 5 Jakarta administrative city areas on Wednesday (4/27):

1. Jakarta City Hall: 14 workers

2. Central Jakarta: Central Jakarta Mayor's Office (86 workers)

3. South Jakarta: South Jakarta Mayor's Office (91 workers)

4. East Jakarta: East Jakarta Mayor's Office (138 workers)

5. North Jakarta: North Jakarta Mayor's Office (34 workers)

6. West Jakarta: West Jakarta Mayor's Office (94 workers)

"The Jakarta Worker Card (KPJ) program is implemented to improve the welfare of workers and their families in order to create a harmonious and equitable industrial relations climate towards a safe and conducive Jakarta thus the city is developed and its citizens are happy," he explained.

As for the information, KPJ recipients would get additional benefits including free Transjakarta rides in predetermined corridors, JakGrosir members, provision of food at low prices, and assistance with personal education costs (KJP Plus).

The requirements are having a Jakarta ID card, earning a maximum equivalent to UMP + 10 percent, filling out the banking form provided, and working for a company located in Jakarta.

Here is also a mechanism for submitting KPJ as follows:

• Applicant must collect a photocopy of ID Card, Family Card, NPWP, Salary Slip, and Certificate from the Company

• Registration is done through the Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency and Sub-agency or via email to kartupekerja.dkijakarta@yahoo.com cc: hikesja.nakertrans@jakarta.go.id

• Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency verifies the submitted application data

• Applicant opens a Bank DKI account (minimum deposit of Rp 50,000) and Bank DKI prints a card for applicants who pass verification

• Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency together with Bank DKI and PD Pasar Jaya will distribute cards at designated points
