This Morning, 40,900 Homecomers Arrived at Several Stations in Jakarta

On Sunday (5/8) at 7 AM, a total of 40,900 travelers disembarked at several stations within the Operational Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta.

The purchase of tickets to Jakarta continues to increase for May 10 and 11, 2022

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Head Eva Chairunisa mentioned that as many as 14,900 passengers got off at Gambir Station; 15,200 at Pasar Senen Station; 4,200 passengers at Bekasi Station; 3,800 passengers at Jatinegara Station; and 2,800 passengers at Cikampek and Jakarta Kota stations.

According to her, passenger arrivals to Jakarta had increased significantly since May 6, around 39,000 to 40,000 passengers.

Homecomers Arriving at Stations in Jakarta Continue to Increase

She estimated that homecomers would continue to arrive at the stations until May 10 and 11, even though the number would not be as high as today.

"The purchase of tickets to Jakarta continues to increase for May 10 and 11, 2022. An additional train will continue to be programmed during the Eid Transportation period, from Jakarta and from other areas to Jakarta," she uttered.

To expedite the flow of passengers at the station, 610 joint personnel were deployed to direct the arriving passengers not to crowd in a particular area while waiting to be picked up.

"They are different from additional officers assigned to Daop 1 Jakarta stations, such as mobile customer services and postal officers who assist the customers in the station area," she added.
