Backflow of Passengers Still Crowding Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal

Entering D+7 of Eid al-Fitr, the backflow of homebound travelers is still crowding the Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, East Jakarta.

Most of them are coming from Central and West Java

Based on Beritajakarta.id observations, there are seen several AKAP buses have arrived at the terminal today, Tuesday (5/10).

Some travelers are picked up by their families and some continue their journey by taking public transportation or motorcycle taxis.

Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal Head Yuliza Ramadhoni said that the backflow would continue on Thursday (5/12) considering school students were still on holiday and government office employees were allowed to work from home.

"The backflow this time has indeed increased since D+1 of Eid until May 8. Whereas on May 9 yesterday, the volume has started to drop," he expressed, Tuesday (5/10).

From May 4 to 9, 2022, the returning passengers at this terminal reached 42,211 people with 2,536 buses. The peak of the backflow began on May 10 with 9,037 travelers on 487 buses.

"Most of them are coming from Central and West Java," he stated.
