The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency has launched Jakpreneur Corner as a special space for the development of fostered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

We will facilitate them if they have limited space or equipment to promote their products

Jakpreneur Corner was built by utilizing a computer room on the 5th floor of the Jakarta KPKP Agency Office which is no longer used.

The 50-square-meters room was designed in a minimalist concept but offered maximum functionality. Several office inventories in the room, such as computer desks, file cabinets, and safes were used to make the Jakpreneur Corner look more interactive. It displayed Jakpreneurs products and was equipped with a mini cafe, podcast, and a place to sit or relax on the floor (lesehan).

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head Suharini Eliawati assesse d that Jakpreneur Corner was like a home for fostered MSMEs that supported them to grow and develop while optimizing their potential.

"You can gather, exchange information, make podcasts, and take photos of products in this location," she mentioned, Friday (5/20).

Jakpreneur Corner is open to various activities related to entrepreneurship development. Previously, Jakpreneurs had also been trained in the location to make their product photos more attractive.

"We will facilitate them if they have limited space or equipment to promote their products," she added.

According to her, the fostered MSMEs who wanted to use Jakpreneur Corner for promotional purposes would be accompanied and guided by Jakarta KPKP Agency officers, such as in the techniques of taking product photos and making a product narrative.

"Espresso machine at Jakpreneur Corner is intended to introduce the fostered entrepreneurs about coffee processing that can be a business opportunity," she conveyed.

Several Jakpreneurs under the KPKP Agency in five regions of Jakarta had visited Jakpreneur Corner since it was inaugurated on May 9, 2022.

"Jakpreneur Corner is built to be a learning place for Jakpreneurs," she stated.

She explained that Jakpreneur Corner was also built as a pilot project which is planned to be implemented in KPKP Sub-districts in the future.

"Hopefully Jakpreneur Corner can support our fostered entrepreneurs to quickly advance to a higher level and increase their turnover," she closed.
