The Cipinang Besar Utara (CBU) Public Housing, which was just completed this year, is ready to accommodate residents affected by the Gembrong Market fire, starting next week.

East Jakarta People's Welfare Assitant Achmad Salahudin said that all the infrastructure in the public housing has gone through the checking stage. According to him, water, electricity, elevator, and others were complete and functioning well. Yesterday, the communal work had been carried out together with various sectors to prepare for the relocation of RW 01 residents affected by the fire.
He said that the raffling stage will be conducted tomorrow for those who will enter the CBU building.

Aside that, the East Jakarta administration was willing to provide a means of transportation for the process of transporting residents' goods to the building.
After they had all been relocated, they would receive various types of training and guidance from related parties, including trauma healing and services to fix all lost files such as vehicle documents, house documents, ID cards, family cards, diplomas, report cards, and so forth.
"The Social Sub-agency is going to send logistical assistance for food and drink needs, as long as residents cannot cook for themselves," he continued.
Based on the data filed by the urban village to the Public Housing and Settlement Agency, there were 110 families or about 450 people affected by the Gembrong Market fire who would temporarily move to this public housing which has 278 units spread over 16 floors.
