918 Vehicles in Central Jakarta Undergo Emission Tests

The Central Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency has served 918 vehicles in seven emission tests until May 2022.

Central Jakarta LH Sub-agency's Monitoring, Environmental Impact Control, and Cleanliness Section Head Rizki Sari Sinta Dewi mentioned that the 918 vehicles tested for emissions consisted of 572 four-wheeled vehicles and 346 two-wheeled vehicles.
"We are targeting to conduct 12 emission tests this year. Until May, we have conducted 7 emission tests," she conveyed, Friday (5/27).
Jakarta Signs Cooperation with Leading French Railway CompaniesFrom 572 four-wheeled vehicles that had been tested for emissions, she added, as many as 480 units passed the test, while 92 units failed the test. For two-wheeled vehicles, as many as 267 units passed the test and 79 units failed.
She appealed to residents who have motor vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, to have their vehicles tested in certified workshops to conduct emission tests.
"Our emission test is very limited. So, we appeal to residents to conduct emission tests in certified workshops that have emission test permits," she informed.
