Kerja Sama Transjakarta-BNEF Dapat Menjadi Materi Riset Presidensi G20

Transjakarta - BNEF Cooperation Can Be Research Material for G20 Presidency

The Jakarta Regional Research Council (DRD) has said that the collaboration between Transjakarta and Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) on global commodity markets and disruption technology from the UK is a strategic step, especially in terms of the energy transition program to low carbon in the transportation sector.

This Governor's initiative can be one of the research materials and collaborations for BNEF activities in Indonesia's G20 presidency

"This Governor's initiative can be one of the research materials and collaborations for BNEF activities in Indonesia's G20 presidency. The Jakarta administration has designed an electric bus program to reduce carbon emissions in Jakarta," expressed Jakarta DRD Executive Board Chairman Emir Riza in a written statement received by beritajakarta.id, Tuesday (5/17).

According to him, the electric bus program would not have a significant impact on the island of Java if the electricity resources were still mostly from coal-fired energy plants. It needs to be the government's attention in the future.

Transjakarta Partners with BNEF to Strengthen Electric Bus Implementation

BNEF as a research and strategy driver for the transition to low-carbon energy already has a plan with Kadin to build the BNEF Akademi Indonesia in conjunction with the BNEF Summit Bali on November 12, 2022.

"This collaboration can be one of the important ingredients in the commitment of the Indonesian G20 presidency to transform to low-carbon energy by designing a low-carbon mass transportation strategy starting in Jakarta," he stated.
