"The waves here are quite challenging. And I think this place (Ciliwung River) is very suitable as rafting tour," exclained Djarot, after he reviewed the Ciliwung River from Bidara Cina to Kampung Pulo, Sunday (12/21).
He stated, such idea could be realized if the Ciliwung River is managed properly. One of the requirements is by sterilizing the river from trash and mud.
Djarot: Ciliwung River Normalization Must Complete Next Year"Our ide can be realized as long as the river is clean," he asserted.
He hoped local citizens and the city administration can synergize in maintaining the river, particularly by monitoring citizens activity who throw trash into the river.
"Let's clean up the river together, this is a great tourism potential," he said.
As for the information, Ciliwung River has a length of nearly 120 kilometers with 387 square kilometers width and has a fairly heavy water flow.
Such river is relatively wide and its downstream can be passed by a small boat. The areas passed by the river are Bogor Regency, Bogor City, Depok City and Jakarta.
