The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency introduces Jakarta MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) tourism to the world by participating in the IMEX Frankfurt 2022.

Participation at IMEX Frankfurt after 2 years of not being held can be a right momentum to kick off MICE tourism

The largest MICE exhibition in the world and Europe has been held from May 31 to June 2, 2022, at Messe Frankfurt, Germany.

The exhibition featured thousands of hotels, incentive travel agencies, convention centers, meeting and conference planners, airlines, and cruise ships from 170 countries. The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia-Frankfurt Acep Soemantri also attended this exhibition.

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head Andhika Permata stated that as the center of business and the Indonesian Government, Jakarta has great potential for MICE tourism. With the existing MICE facilities and infrastructure, Jakarta was capable of competing as the main MICE destination in Indonesia and attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

In addition, the online appointment system feature can make it easier for MICE industry partners who are facilitated to fill the Jakarta Government's booth to meet potential buyers," he conveyed as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Thursday (6/2).

The year 2022 is an important year for the Government from the MICE industry side by holding 2 major MICE events in the form of the Urban 20 Mayors Summit and the International Publishers Association World Congress.

Participation in IMEX Frankfurt 2022 could be an appropriate promotion and amplification platform for the two events to enhance Jakarta's image as a MICE destination that is capable of hosting international MICE events.
