Yuk... Rasakan Bekerja Sambil Liburan di Nomad Island Bidadari

Bidadari Island, a Perfect Place for Work and Vacation

The COVID-19 outbreak coupled with the Work From Home (WFH) system implemented by many companies and agencies has triggered the development of digital nomads.

This is a breakthrough to address the concerns of creative industry workers

The digital nomad concept which allows people to work from anywhere by utilizing telecommunication technology is now developing into a new lifestyle in the world.

With these lifestyle changes and adaptations, the Jakarta Government saw the potential to revitalize the tourism sector by launching Digital Nomad Island (DNI) during Jakarta's 495th Anniversary with branding 'Jakarta Hajatan' launch on Bidadari Island, last Tuesday (5/24). DNI is a form of the Government's commitment to developing tourism potential in Thousand Islands.

West Jakarta Conducts Nomad Island Digital Familiarization Trip

To promote the program, the West Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency held Digital Nomad Island Familiarization Trip on Bidadari Island last Friday (5/27).

Ilham Pradipta (33), a content creator assessed that Nomad Island was very needed by creative industry workers in Jakarta, who have been working mostly at home, in co-working spaces, or cafes.

"This is a breakthrough to address the concerns of creative industry workers," he conveyed.

According to him, most creative industry workers need a comfortable and great place to work with a low budget. DNI on Bidadari Island is considered very suitable for them because it is affordable and they can leave in the morning and return in the afternoon by speedboat.

He encouraged creative industry workers to visit Nomad Island in Thousand Islands to seek inspiration, as well as healing.

"Maybe later the Government can build a Nomad Park because there are many parks in Jakarta that are comfortable and suitable for finding creative ideas," he said.

Instagram Social Media Influencer Sahara (19) expressed her comfort in working on Bidadari Island, Thousand Islands.

According to her, the internet network and signal on the island are very adequate to support her work. The clean and comfortable environment helped her to find inspiration and healing.

"Before I imagined that it would be difficult to get a signal on the island. But, on Bidadari Island, it was not as I thought. So, you don't have to go far to work while on vacation, because there is a very convenient place in Jakarta that is fast to upload social media and others," she uttered.
