Unlicensed, 9 Billboards Dismantled

Central Jakarta Building Control (P2B) Sub-Department dismantled nine billboards, Monday (12/22) night. As many as 150 joint personnel from Satpol PP, Garrison, and the police equipped with two cranes were deployed to dismantle the billboards which do not have building permits (IMB).

The dismantled billboards were in the size of 5x10 square meters, 8x16 square meters, and 6x12 square meters. They were located two on Jalan Juanda, two on Jalan Majapahit, two on Jalan Suryopranoto, and three in Gajah Mada and Hayam Wuruk areas.
Head of Central Jakarta P2B Sub-Department, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo who led the dismantling process, said those nine billboards have been unlicensed since 2007. Before they were dismantled, her party has sent warning letter, sealing letter, until demolition warrant (SPB) to the billboard owners. However, they ignored all of it.
