“Before sealing these slaughterhouses, we have summoned their owners and socialized the matter,” he told.
On the contrary, Anto (40), a chicken slaughterhouse owner in Utan Kayu Selatan, admitted that he could only resign of the sealing. But, he is disappointed because the socialization was suboptimal and there was no preparation from the slaughterhouse owners.
“There was no one here protesting (the slaughterhouse existence). As a matter of fact, they were happy because there were job opportunities. Why all of a sudden our business sealed without any socialization beforehand. I’ve been doing business in here for six years, everything was fine and no one was complaining,” he lamented.
