North Jakarta Dukcapil Has Issued 1,555 E-ID Cards for Foreigners

As of December 2021, the North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Sub-agency had issued 1,555 electronic ID cards (e-KTPs) for foreigners residing in Indonesia.

North Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-agency Head Edward Idris mentioned that 1,555 e-KTPs for foreigners were issued following Article 63 of Law no. 24/2013 on Population Administration (Adminduk).
"Those 1,555 foreigners who have settled and already have e-KTPs consist of 874 men and 681 women," he mentioned, Friday (6/10).

who live in Jakarta and want to obtain e-KTP must have a Permanent Stay Permit Card (KITAP) and fulfill several requirements."This is just for their identity. The color of e-KTP for foreigners is orange, while for Indonesian citizens is blue," he stated.
Foreigners who wanted to apply for e-KTP were required to come to the Dukcapil office to take photos and verify documents, such as passports and KITAP/KITAS.
"The process of issuing e-KTP for foreigners takes 1x24 hours because it takes time to test the singularity," he conveyed.
Pavan Ashok Dalani (25), a foreigner from Singapore who lives in Kelapa Gading Sub-district said that he was happy to propose an e-KTP at North Jakarta Sub-agency Office because the service was fast, friendly, and comfortable.
"I will stay for a long time in Indonesia. For the issuance, I was told that it would take 1x24 hours and no later than two days," he explained.
