Seribu Islands RSUD Upgrades its Operating Rooms for Better Service

The Seribu Islands General Hospital (RSUD) in Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands is revitalizing its operating rooms and building examination rooms for tuberculosis (TB).

Hope all can be finished on time

Seribu Islands RSUD Director Head Agus Hariyanto Saroso said the revitalization and addition of this new building was to improve the needs and facilities for patient health services.

"We are upgrading the operating room, so that specialist doctors, especially obstetricians, can perform a cesarean section at this hospital," he said, Friday (6/24).

According to him, the TB examination room would be outside the main hospital building with an area of about six square meters. It was done to optimally serve patients and protect them.

As for the operating room as wide as 157 square meters, his party would add equipment and an air circulation system to ensure the operating room was free from mold and viruses.

Repainting would also be done on the hospital building, repairing floors, toilets, and ceilings.

"This revitalization is based on the budget allocation that has been filed in the City Budget (APBD)," he explained.

By so, it was expected to improve services thus there would be no more referrals to hospitals on the mainland.

"It has been ongoing since June 6 and is targeted to be done on September 27, 2022. Hope all can be finished on time," he hoped.
