City Tries to Keep Its Land in Tanah Abang

Jakarta Provincial Government keeps conducting various effort to save its assets. One of the efforts is Central Jakarta Administration has sent letter to M Ali Ahmad who claims the city administration land on Jalan Karet Pasar Baru V, Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang.
Since 1992, there was no land dispute case
M Ali Ahmad, who is also the president director of PT Security Phisik Dinamina (SPD), admitted surprised when receiving the land clearing letter. He asked the Central Jakarta Administration to postpone the land execution. Moreover, Ali has reported this case to Central Jakarta State Court.
"I want the government postpone the execution until there is decision from the court," he said, Monday (12/29).
Land Dispute, Construction of BMW Stadium Still StagnatedAccording to him, the city administration claims 1,675 meter square out of total 3,200 meter square. But he does not know the location exactly.
"If I knew the land belongs to the government, I will not buy it. Since 1992, there was no land dispute case," he added.
Contacted separately, Acting Central Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi, allowed if there are people who will sue to the court related to this case.
"It's their right. But we execute the land based on certificate issued by National Land Board," he stressed.
