120 Participants Enliven Jakarta Hajatan Culinary Bazaar in Sahid

Enlivening the Jakarta's 495th anniversary, as many as 120 tenants took a part in the Jakarta Hajatan Culinary Bazaar organized by the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency and the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) in Sahid, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Kav. 86, RT 10/11, Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

This culinary bazaar is to enliven Jakarta Hajatan event

Jakarta PHRI Public Relation Officer Arini Yulianti informed that the culinary bazaar which was held from 6 AM to 1 PM was attended by 120 participants whose booths decorated with Betawi theme.

Those 120 participants consisted of 60 PHRI members and 60 selected Jakpreneurs throughout Jakarta.

"This culinary bazaar is to enliven Jakarta Hajatan event," she expressed, Sunday (6/26).

It sold variety of traditional Indonesian culinary, including Betawi dishes, such as bir pletok, nasi ulam, asinan, rujak, and jahe merah (red ginger). The bazaar was expected to help MSMEs to promote and improve their business.

In addition to bazaar, this activity was also provided health check and COVID-19 vaccination services, as well as Betawi arts and culture performances.

"We are targeting 1,000 visitors for this activity. We hope it can revive food and beverage (F&B) industry after COVID-19 pandemic," she exclaimed.

Amir (51), a bazaar participant said that he was grateful to be involved in the activity.

"By joining the bazaar, I can promote and improve my business," he stated.
