Health Checks Conducted on 4.526 Sacrificial Animals in West Jakarta

The West Jakarta Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency has conducted health checks on 4,526 sacrificial animals.

As of June 27, we have examined 4,526 animals

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head Novy Palit stated that the health checks were focused on 105 animal shelters in 8 sub-districts.

"As of June 27, we have examined 4,526 animals," she mentioned, Wednesday (6/29).

South Jakarta KPKP Examines 4,136 Sacrificial Animals in 10 Sub-districts

It was conducted to anticipate Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and ensure the animals met the required criteria as sacrificial animals.

Of the 4,526 animals checked, 2,223 were cows, 16 were buffaloes, 1,854 were goats, and 433 were sheep.

During the health checks, personnel in the field examined animals' mouths, nails, and age. Most of them came from Central Java, especially Boyolali.

"We check sacrificial animals' health to ensure they are safe for consumption," she asserted.
