According to him, monitoring could be carried out on suppliers who distributed sacrificial animals to traders in small and large markets in Central Jakarta.
"FMD can be prevented by monitoring meat and animal suppliers since it is much easier," he said, Monday (5/23).

Related to this case, Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head Penty Yunesi asserted that the monitoring of sacrificial animals sold by traders would keep being intensified.
She explained it has been launched since May 10 in several markets in Sawah Besar and Tanah Abang areas.
Her sub-agency would also socialize and educate animal owners and traders regarding FMD and the importance of cleanliness and sanitation of animal cages.
"Until today, we haven't found any animals exposed to FMD," she conveyed.
