Traffic around JIS Diverted for Tonight's Grand Launching

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) have planned a traffic diversion on Jalan Sunter Permai Raya and Danau Sunter Barat in the anticipation of traffic jam during the Grand Launching of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) from 2 PM to 9 PM, Sunday (7/24).

Only the shuttle bus, residents around JIS, and VIP/VVIP/invited guests are allowed to pass here

There are three locations for limited road closures:

1. Railway crossing of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya – Jalan RE. Martadinata

2. Intersection of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya – Jalan Bisma Raya

3. Intersection of Jalan Danau Sunter Barat – Jalan Danau Sunter Utara

"The traffic from intersection of Jalan Bisma Raya - Jalan Sunter Permai Raya towards the north can be passed by shuttle bus to serve JIS visitors through five parking bags around the stadium, precisely on Jalan Sunter Permai Raya or residents," disclosed Dishub Acting Head Chaidir, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

On the other hand, his agency would divert the JIS exit route to Jalan Sunter Permai Raya from 6 PM to 9 PM for the convenience of mobility and smooth traffic flow, as follows:

1. Vehicles coming from the east of Jalan Bisma Raya which go to the north of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya must take the south of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya

2. Vehicles coming from the south of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya to the north of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya must turn right to Jalan Bisma Raya or turn back to Jalan Sunter Permai Raya – Jalan Danau Sunter Utara

3. Closure at the West – West U-turn and East – East U-turn on Jalan Danau Sunter Utara

"Only the shuttle bus, residents around JIS, and VIP/VVIP/invited guests are allowed to pass here. So, please other motorists to follow the directions in the field," he explained.

To serve residents who already have viewing tickets, Transjakarta regular buses are ready to serve them to the stadium from the following departure locations from 9 AM to 11 PM. Only pay Rp 3,500 to ride it, namely:

1. Transjakarta with JIS - LRT Pegangsaan Dua route (10 buses)

  a. Corridor 4 (Pulo Gadung 2) - Tosari

2. Transjakarta with JIS - Cempaka Mas route (7 buses)

 a. Corridor 2 (Pulo Gadung) – Harmoni

 b. Corridor 10 (PGC 2) – Tanjung Priok

 c. Corridor 10D (Tanjung Priok) – Kampung Rambutan

 d. Corridor 7F (Kampung Rambutan) – Harmoni

3. Transjakarta with JIS - Senen route (7 buses)

a. Corridor 5 Kampung Melayu – Kota

b. Corridor 2 Pulo Gadung – Harmoni

c. 7F Kampung Rambutan – Harmoni

d. 1P Bundaran Senayan – Senen

e. 1R Senen – Tanah Abang

f. 2P Gondangdia - Senen

4. Transjakarta with JIS – Tanah Abang route (7 buses)

"Parking area is limited, so we urge residents who want to come to ride the public transportation. Don't worry, we have prepared various alternative public transportation routes to the stadium," he closed.
