Again, Dinkes Opens COVID-19 Booster Shots at JIS

The Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) once again administrates the Covid-19 vaccination at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta from Wednesday (7/20) to Sunday (7/24), between 1 PM to 9 PM. It is open at the West Ramp of Transjakarta Bus Stop

Those who want to take a booster must have a ticket on the PeduliLindungi app

The vaccine brands provided are Sinovac, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca.

"Especially on Sunday (7/24), residents can access it at East Ramp and West Lobby on the 1st floor," said Epidemiological and Immunization Surveillance Division Head Ngabila Salama, Wednesday (7/20).

She stated it was for people aged 18 and over.

“Those who want to take a booster must have a ticket on the PeduliLindungi app. The minimum distance from the 2nd dose is three months," she explained.

She added that the booster was proven to boost antibodies, preventing severe Covid-19, and death. That is why it became a condition for attending large-scale events attended by more than 1,000 people, including domestic and international trips.

“There has been a slight increase in Covid-19 deaths in the last two weeks in Jakarta. Most are over 40 years old with comorbidities and have yet to receive a booster," she added.
