Diskominfotik: In Digital Era, Technology is Important to Help People Access Public InformationShe went on to say that it was very important in order to increase the capacity of government officials regarding statistics, especially in the case of Satu Data Indonesia.
Jakarta BPS Head Anggoro Dwitjahyono explained that regarding Satu Data Indonesia, based on Law number 16/1997 on Statistics, statistical activities were directed to support national development and to realize and develop a reliable, effective, and efficient National Statistics System (SSN).
"Strengthening the national statistical system is an arrangement consisting of elements of statistical data needs, resources, methods, facilities and infrastructure, science and technology, legal instruments, and input from the Statistical Society Forum which are regularly interrelated, so it forms a totality in statistics maintenance," he explained.
Satu Data Indonesia demands the creation of a government data management policy to produce data that is accurate, up-to-date, integrated, accountable, and easily accessible and shared between central and regional agencies through compliance with data standards, metadata, data interoperability, and using reference codes and master data.
"Sectoral statistics at the central and local government agencies through statistical business processes will measure their progress," he continued.
This measurement was important to improve the quality of sectoral statistics administration and the quality of public services in statistics at central and local government agencies. By doing so, BPS would conduct an assessment of the Statistical Development Index (IPS).
