Job Fair at Thamrin City Shopping Mall Offers 7,086 Vacancies

The Central Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Sub-agency (Nakertransgi) are holding a job fair on the 3rd floor of the Thamrin City Shopping Mall, Jalan Kebon Melati I, Kebon Melati Urban Village, Tanah Abang Sub-district. The fair will run from Monday (8/8) to Tuesday (8/9).

Around 9,000 job seekers have sent their application letters via email

There are about 40 companies engaged in various fields that offer 7,086 vacancies.

"Around 9,000 job seekers have sent their application letters via email," expressed Central Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head Sudrajat, Monday (8/8).

He explained that the fair was motivated by, among other things, the balance between worker requirements in terms of quantity and quality required by the market.

"The number of job seekers every year is increasing. Meanwhile, the available job vacancies are limited and cause gaps in the workforce placement process," he explained.

Then the second is the imbalance caused by the lack or gap of information between user companies and job seekers.

"It often happens that companies get unqualified workers from the available positions," he added.

That's why the sub-agency held a job fair exhibition to facilitate the two parties to meet their respective needs.

Central Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant Ferizan Bakwan Ginting urged residents to make the most of this moment.

"It will be held three times. Those who haven't been lucky can take part in a similar job fair that will be held shortly," he stated.

A job seeker Prennelia Dwi Putri admitted that she had arrived since morning to submit job applications at several companies participating in the job fair.

"I found out about today's job fair through the Nakertransgi Agency's Instagram. Hopefully, I will be called according to my expertise," she hoped.
