37 Companies with 3,000 Vacancies Enliven Job Fair at PGC

Hopefully, it can help reduce unemployment in Jakarta

The Covid-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted the economy, increasing unemployment rates. Data released by BPS in 2021 showed that 112,754 out of 3,056,300 people have yet to have a job.

Seeing that case, as many as 37 private companies offer various vacancies at a job fair held by the Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Agency (Nakertrans) Head Andri Yansyah at Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC) Cililitan, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, on Thursday (7/28).

South Jakarta Job Fair Offers 3,000 Vacancies

The fair that is held until tomorrow Friday (7/29) began with a welcome dance from the East Jakarta Tourism and Economy Creative (Parekraf) Sub-agency.

Besides Mr. Yansyah, there were also East Jakarta Nakertrans and Energy Sub-agency Head Galuh Prasiwi, Kramat Jati Sub-district Head Rudy Syahrul, and other related officials.

According to Yansyah, the job fair was the first time in East Jakarta and it would be opened three times.

"Hopefully, it can help reduce unemployment in Jakarta," he stated.

East Jakarta Nakertrans and Energy Sub-agency Head Galuh Prasiwi added in the first stage, there were 37 private companies engaged in various fields, offering 3,000 vacancies.

"We facilitate and bridge between companies and job seekers. Hope we can absorb new workers," he hoped.

As for the information, the job fair is enlivened with eight bazaars under his agency. They sell a variety of superior culinary products.
