Over 35,000 Visitors Enjoy Jakarnaval Parade

Thousands of Jakarnaval participants liven up the Jakarta E-Prix International Circuit, Ancol by performing their best work in a street parade at Jakarnaval 2022 event, on Sunday (8/14). No wonder, the parade was greeted with loud cheers by the crowd in the stands.

PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol President Director Budi Aryanto said that the audience's interest which reached more than 35,000 people was very enthusiastic.

Ancol to Introduce Jagat Rimba at 2022 Jakarnaval Today

According to him, visitors to Ancol are only around 25,000 to 35,000 visitors on regular holidays.

One of the audiences, Anin (32), a resident of Klender, East Jakarta admitted she and her son came to the parade to see the ondel-ondel (Betawi effigies) parade. The event was very lively, as there were musicals, marching bands, and other archipelago performances.

"Of course, it's very entertaining, especially my son is very happy when they see the ondel-ondel parade. With Rp 25,000, we can enter Ancol and so satisfied, hope it can be an annual agenda event," she admitted.

The same statement also came out from Shanti (48), a resident of Cijantung, East Jakarta who came to introduce her children to various Indonesian parades. Previously, she knew the event information via social media, moreover, it coincided with a holiday. While waiting for the parade, she went around the beach.

"I know this event via social media, so my children and I immediately came here, it's very interesting. Events like this are rare since the two-year pandemic. So, I want to introduce them like a marching band, traditional dances, etc," she concluded.
