Ancol to Introduce Jagat Rimba at 2022 Jakarnaval Today

PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol took part in enlivening the 2022 Jakarnaval event which will be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit Ancol Taman Impian, North Jakarta, on Sunday (8/14).

At the event, they will introduce a new intellectual properties (IP) product called Jagat Rimba, which is the result of a collaboration between Ancol and Batavia Pictures, which also produces the animated film Riki Rhino.

"We would like to introduce the new IP Jagat Rimba through two of its characters, Kanta and Suari," expressed Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Corporate Secretary Agung Praptono.

According to him, Jagat Rimba is an action-fantasy genre IP that contains heroism values by bringing together elements of local archipelago culture, nature conservation missions as well as futuristic technology aspects.

The characters of Jagat Rimba carry the theme of dwiraga which means the union between humans as heroes and endangered animals endemic to Indonesia.

The two cosplayers would enliven the parade at Jakarnaval accompanied by a marching band and Ancol's iconic characters (Dufan and Dufi).

Kanta is the union of humans and orangutans and Suari is the union of humans and cassowaries.

"Jagat Rimba can also be found in the webtoon on August 14, 2022, and at Jakarnaval. We will also show an exclusive teaser for the two-minute animated film Jagat Rimba on the main stage LED," he explained.

Ancol also plans to present a labyrinth box in the event area which contains an introduction to the universe of Jagat Rimba. IP Jagat Rimba would not only appear in the form of webtoons and animated films but also be revealed to various media and creative products.

"To enjoy it, it is enough to buy an Ancol entrance ticket of Rp 25,000 per person, where visitors can enjoy the biggest parade event in Jakarta," he stated.
