The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) is holding the Jakarnaval 2022 event as a form of the Jakarta administration's appreciation to creative economy activists and communities in Jakarta who have endured difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year's Jakarnaval event is an effort to revive the tourism industry in Jakarta

"This year's Jakarnaval event is an effort to revive the tourism industry in Jakarta. Hope it can drive the local economy based on tourism, culture, and the creative economy," expressed Disparekraf Head Andhika Permata, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (8/11).

He went on to say that it has been ongoing since Friday (8/5) at Pasar Seni Ancol art market with the “Road to Jakarnaval” Talk Show with the theme of Urban Tourism.

"For residents who want to visit, they must remain orderly and obey existing regulations. Don't forget to wear a mask and already have a booster," he stressed.

The activities that were prepared were a parade of floats, musical dramas, marching bands, and interesting performances from the community of cultural arts activists in Jakarta.

After the parade, visitors will be entertained by the performance of famous local artists, such as Armada Band, Lyodra, and Juicy Luicy.

As for the information, the peak of the Jakarnaval event is free or free of charge. So, visitors who wish to come must still buy an entrance ticket to the Ancol Taman Impian area following the regular rate set by the area manager.
