According to Anwar, one of the blends of typical Betawi and Gorontalo cultures was the welcome dance performance from the two regions with religious nuances.

"We involve cross-sectors to hold this festival. It will be an annual agenda for preserving the nation's culture," he stated, Sunday (9/4).

His party asked the Parekraf Sub-agency to budget for festival activities every year.

Event Committee Chairman, Mochammad Arifin explained that the festival was back again after two and a half years of vacuum due to the pandemic.

He explained that the Gedong Football Field was chosen, as it is more representative, safe, comfortable, and does not interfere with the smooth flow of traffic. Residents were also very enthusiastic to enjoy the event.

"We see the community's need for a gathering place for all elements and cultures to unite. This is a representative place for festival activities," he explained.

Various activities colored the festival, ranging from cultural arts performances to the MSME bazaar.

"There are 200 coached MSMEs under the PPKUKMP Sub-agency, Parekraf Sub-agency, PPKK, as well as residents of Pasar Rebo and Kramat Jati," he added.

Pasar Rebo Sub-district Council Member Dani Taufiq hoped that the festival that presents collaboration of the typical Betawi and Gorontalo cultures could foster the love of the young generation for the nation's culture.

"It makes the younger generation know and love the culture of their own nation," he stressed.

To smoothen it, the joint personnel of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency together with Traffic Regional Unit and Satpol PP were alerted around the location.

Supervision and Control Division Head Riky Erwinda admitted that personnel were deployed to regulate parking areas and nodes that become traffic congestion points.

"We also send a tow truck to anticipate unwanted things," he closed.
