W. Jakarta Requires 90 Additional Dump Trucks

Trash problem in the capital city is a homework that must be solved immediately. In West Jakarta for instance, the lack of dump truck fleet becomes one of the obstacles, where its existence still requires 90 additional units out of 169 existing dump truck fleets.

West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi disclosed the entire area in West Jakarta every day can produce 1,574.92 tons of trash. From that amount, janitors can only transport 1.555.11 tons.

City Once Again Received Dump Trucks

"Indeed, trash in West Jakarta is still a problem. One of our problem is the availability of dump truck, thus far we still need 90 units," he stated, Thursday (1/22).

In the meantime, Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Saptastri Edningtyas disclosed her department has allocated funds for additional dump truck to five cities. Yet she did not tell it specifically.

"We've provided funds for dump truck procurement in five cities, but I don't know how many," she expressed.
