Again, City Received Garbage Trucks

Jakarta Provincial Government once again received grants in form of two garbage trucks type Hino from PT Summarecon Agung. The grant was officially received by Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama at City Hall, Monday (7/14).
Basuki disclosed Jakarta government needs more trucks since Jakarta government takes over waste management. He then asked for assistance from employers in additional garbage truck. "I said to the employers, the amount of garbage truck is lacking after we took over waste management. That's why we ask for help," he told.
City to Rent Garbage TrucksThose garbage trucks will be sent to North Jakarta Mayor because of the area desperately needs garbage truck. "We will sent the truck to North Jakarta soon," he stated.
He furthered waste management in the capital will be changed in future, from per ton becomes per area. He assessed, there is awkwardness when waste management being calculated per ton. Although the transported waste was quite a lot, yet its existence still seen in the corners of the city.
"Earlier, the waste management handed over by private side but they could not managed it properly. And we always throw waste from river per ton. Presumably, you dispose our waste to the river. I have paid you twice, ranging from cleanliness, disposing, until transporting," he asserted.
As planned, every urban village will recruit 50 people to maintain cleanliness in the neighborhood. They also focus on cleanliness around park, road, gutter, street light, etc. "That means, every urban village would have 50 domestic servants," he expressed.
Director of PT Summarecon Abadi, Adrianto P Adhi revealed such grant is from corporate social responsibility (CSR) in his company. He wants to contribute to the cleanliness of the city. "As part of Jakartans, we want to realize our CSR program in the delivery of the garbage truck. Essentially, we want to participate better," he said.
He spent Rp 637 million to procure both trucks. They are equipped with advanced technology such as GPS (Global Positioning System) which is useful for surveillance in the field. "This truck is quite sophisticated, where the tank can be lowered and raised automatically. We already consulted it," he uttered.
