Five Units of Rainwater Storage Being Built on Karya Island

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is building five units of Rainwater Storage on Karya Island, Panggang Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district. It is targeted for completion by the end of this September.

The work has entered the construction of the foundation for the shelter

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said that the rainwater storage serves to increase the supply of clean water sourced from rainwater. It was built around the official residence of the Karya Island Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD).

"The work has entered the construction of the foundation for the shelter. The storage has 110 centimeters wide and 50 centimeters high," he expressed, Friday (9/16).

Inundation on Jalan DI Panjaitan Receded as Rain Stops

He added it has been carried out since September 5 and involves ten workers.

"The construction progress has reached 50 percent. The capacity is around 1,050 liters," he closed.
