Acting Governor Monitors Semanan River Embankment Construction

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono conducted a sudden visit to the construction of the Semanan River Embankment and the residential area of Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Sunday (10/23).

People's problems here will be resolved soon

According to him, two projects are being handled by the Jakarta Provincial Government in Duri Kosambi, namely the construction of the Semanan River embankment and the additional PAM Jaya clean water network in the residential area.

"We target to finish them by the end of this year," he stated.

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Member, Lukmanul Hakim who accompanied the Acting Governor expressed his gratitude to the Jakarta Government for collecting residents' aspirations from Duri Kosambi regarding flood management and clean water.

"People's problems here will be resolved soon. Hopefully, there won't be any more floods in Jakarta," he uttered.

The same statement also came out from RW 06 Duri Kosambi Urban Village Chairman, Santoro. According to him, so far his area was often inundated due to the overflow of the Semanan River.

"So, we hope that this project can solve the flood problem," he stated.
