Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono met with Military Command (Pangdam) Commander, Maj. Gen. Untung Budiharto at the Jaya Regional Military Command Headquarters, Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Monday (10/24).

His arrival aims to strengthen the relationship as well as increase the synergy between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the army

He hoped that his duties as Acting Governor could be supported by the ranks of the Jaya Regional Military Command.

"It aims to synergize with each other. As the Acting Governor, I have to stay in touch with him. Another discussion is about security and going to schools thus there are no brawls. It can synergize with Education Agency (Disdik) and it's a very good thing," he stated.

According to him, the Jakarta administration continues to cooperate with the army related to anticipate the risk of the rainy season by involving personnel in community service activities, including dredging rivers.

“Like a few years ago, it is possible, such as the Ciliwung River community service and others. We will discuss further with the commanders through their assistants," he explained.

Maj. Gen. Untung positively welcomed the Acting Governor to strengthen cooperation in supporting the development of a better Jakarta in the future. He hoped that this cooperation could run well.

“We're committed to assisting him in carrying out his duties in Jakarta. As long as he serves as Acting Governor, I hoped that Jakarta will be more comfortable and cool for us to live together,' he concluded.
