Bamus Betawi Fully Supports Heru to Develop Jakarta City

The Betawi Association (Bamus) held an audience with the Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono at City Hall, Wednesday (10/26).

He is pursuing a career in the Jakarta Provincial Government

On that occasion, the Betawi Bamus, chaired by Riano Purwonegoro Ahmad, discussed Jakarta in the future.

According to him, the Betawi Bamus supports the leadership of Heru Budi Hartono as Jakarta Acting Governor who is deemed to have the capacity, track record, and experience

"He is pursuing a career in the Jakarta Provincial Government, so there is no doubt for us Betawi Bamus supports and oversees the policies of the Acting Officer. We provide tremendous support for him to lead Jakarta," he expressed.

He hoped that Betawi Bamus as a Betawi traditional organization could synergize and collaborate and work together in order to build the city of Jakarta, especially for the Betawian people.

Betawi Bamus as a strategic partner of the Jakarta Government hopes that the preservation of Betawi culture will continue. His party is also optimistic that he can maximize and develop Betawi culture.

“Not only preservation but development, and maybe new things that Mr. Heru can give to the Betawian people. Anyway, Betawi Bamus's full support for Mr. Heru. We control it, thus Mr. Heru succeeds in becoming the Acting Officer in Jakarta," he uttered.

In the meeting, Heru was accompanied by the Jakarta Regional Secretary, Marullah Matali. Meanwhile, from Betawi Bamus, there were three figures from the Betawi Bamus Customary councils, Haji Nuri, Haji Abdul Syukur, and Sylviana Murni.
