Traders, Do Not Falsify DKI Bank ATM Card, Ahok Says

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama reminded the street vendor not to falsify the DKI Bank ATM card which is used for retribution. They could be subjected to criminal sanction.

"So, for all traders, I hope you are not come to Senen or Pramuka to falsify this card. This is not small and medium enterprises (UMKM) card, but this is ATM card of DKI Bank. 12 years in prison if you are proven falsifying this card," said Basuki during the launching of auto-debit retribution payment at Ikan Hias Market on Jalan Gunung Sahari No 7A, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

Basuki revealed, the using of auto-debit card application is aimed to know the number of street vendor in the capital.

Head of Central Jakarta UMKM sub-dept., Ety Syartika stated, the ornamental fish traders on Jalan Gunung Sahari No 7A is the former traders from Jalan Kartini.

"Every trader must pay retribution of Rp 3.000 per day. And by this auto-debit card, the retribution is automatically charged by the bank," stated Ety.

According to Ety, there are 85 ornamental fish traders at the market, while total street vendor in Central Jakarta is 2,702 traders.
