The opening on movable concrete barrier (MCB) at such junction is done partially. After being opened, the vehicles coming from Jallan Mangga Dua directed to Jalan Gunung Sahari towards Senen without making in u-turn.
"Vehicles heading to Mangga Dua from Bintang Mas Police Post, remain closed. They can make u-turn after the Samsat," told Head of Traffic Engineering Management Division, Jakarta Transportation Department, Masdes Arrofi.
Arroffi expressed the MCB opening is still in the trial phase until next week. If it causes traffic congestion, the MCB will be re-installed.
As for the information, the Mangga Dua junction has been closed since February 2014. It was closed due to Jalan Gunung Sahari damaged, thus it needs repair.
To anticipate congestion, vehicles from Jalan Mangga Dua Raya towards Jalan Gunung Sahari had to be rerouted. They will be directed to Jalan Gunung Sahari towads Bintang Mas Police Post's red light and then make u-turn in front of Mako Lantamal.
