DPRD DKI Dukung Percepatan Pembangunan LRT Fase 2A

Legislators Support Phase 2A LRT Construction

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) is supporting the executive's plan to resume the construction of the Phase 2A integrated highway (LRT) from Velodrome to Manggarai in 2023.

We will continue to support. Moreover, this is for the benefit of the community

The support was marked by agreeing on a Rp 442 billion regional capital investment (PMD) proposal submitted by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), the BUMD that will handle this project.

Jakarta DPRD Commission B Chairperson, Ismail said LRT is a crucial program that must be implemented immediately, which aims to overcome traffic jams in Jakarta.

Dishub: LRT Project will Be Continued After Long Pause

"This PMD approval is part of our commitment to follow up on the phase 2A LRT construction which was initiated yesterday," he expressed, Sunday (11/6).

According to him, the resumed development of the Velodrome-Manggarai route is according to the decision of the meeting of the Acting Governor with the Central Government.

"We will continue to support. Moreover, this is for the benefit of the community," he added.

He hoped that it could be carried out again next year, as the potential of this integrated mass public transportation is very influential for Jakartans, and reduces congestion.

"We're optimistic that it can be realized soon and won't stop again. This is what the people of Jakarta have been waiting for," he concluded.
