Besides relying on the construction of dams, reservoirs, lakes, and water channels, the East Jakarta administration has also prepared 14 parks and five city forests equipped with retention ponds in order to minimize inundation and flooding.
East Jakarta Parks and City Forests Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin mentioned that the 14 parks have a retention pond as wide as 84,323 square meters and five city forests with a retention lake as wide as 142,871 square meters. In total, the width is about 227,194 square meters.

There is also Kembang Sepatu Park, Setu as wide as 1,027 square meters, Mandor Hasan Park, Bambu Apus as wide as 455.61 square meters, PPA Depsos Park 1 and 2, Bambu Apus as wide as 687.58 square meters, Cempaka Park, Cilangkap as wide as 12.326.89 square meters.
Then Bluntas Park on Jalan Manunggal II, Ceger as wide as 14,516 square meters, Salix Park, Pondok Ranggon as wide as 5.338 square meters, Al Umar 1 Park, Lubang Buaya as wide as 943.50 square meters, Kumis Kucing Park on Jalan Kumis Kucing, Cibubur as wide as 816.56 square meters.
