PAM Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin said his party was continuing to make efforts to speed up the fulfillment of piped clean water supply to reach the target of 100 percent by 2030.
"It is one of our tasks to pursue the target of people's sovereignty in providing clean water for Jakarta residents," he expressed, on the sidelines of a discussion themed Realizing Water Sovereignty in Jakarta, which was held by the City Hall Journalist Coordinator - Jakarta DPRD, Tuesday (11/15).

"We'll work with investors upstream to install a 4,500-kilometer pipe to serve around 33 percent of residents who have not yet received piped clean water," he said.
Therefore, he asked for the support of all parties to achieve the water management that has been taken directly and the target of 100 percent service achievement by 2030.
"This is the time for us to get support from all parties," he stated.
Previously, in virtual remarks, Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono appreciated the discussion held by the City Hall Journalist Coordinator - Jakarta DPRD with the theme Realizing Water Sovereignty in Jakarta.
“I appreciate that the discussion held today is very strategic for all of us. The government is here to provide a foundation, in this case, the right to water on the mainland of Jakarta and Seribu Islands. By realizing access to clean water for all levels of society, water sovereignty in Jakarta will be maintained from time to time," he expressed.
Jakarta DPRD's Commission B, Adi Kurnia Setiadi added the legislator would continue to oversee the piped clean water management process carried out by PAM Jaya.
"The council will carry out supervision to achieve the clean water management target in Jakarta. We will carry out controls, thus utilization and benefit can reach residents," he stated.
