Muara Angke Floating Resto is a culinary tourist destination that serves a variety of appetizing seafood. Especially, on weekends., visitors who come not only from Jakarta but also outside the city.

PT Prima Sumber Bahari President Director as Floating Resto Caretaker, Rudi Darmawanto said that at this location, visitors can enjoy a variety of typical seafood preparations, such as fish, shrimp, clams, and squid to crabs. It is located in the port area and the Muara Angke Fish Auction Place (TPI).

Floating Restaurant Construction is Targeted to Finish October

"Don't hesitate, if you want to enjoy various processed seafood, just come here. Enjoy the food in a place that is really on the edge of the sea," he expressed, Tuesday (11/29).

He explained that the Muara Angke Floating Resto has been operating since March 2022. Traders who were previously accommodated at the Fish-Based Snack Center (Pujaseri) have been relocated to this Floating Resto.

"Currently, total traders and Pujaseri have 30 grilled fish traders. Then as many as 42 brains and tasters traders have been placed at the sales location in the Floating Resto parking area," he explained.

According to him, the restaurant was progressing rapidly and had a positive impact on traders and fishermen.

"There are thousands of visitors on weekends. The need for marine products is also high. It can certainly improve the welfare of fishermen and traders themselves," he explained.

He added the Floating Resto culinary destination could become part of tourism development in Jakarta, thus it would have an impact on increasing local revenue.

"Equally important, this is a place for empowering MSMEs in processing marine products for the people of the north coast of Jakarta," he added.

Jakarta Love Community Movement (Gema Cita) Chairman, Hilman Firmansyah appreciated the Jakarta administration and managers who have succeeded in making Floating Resto more advanced.

"This place can become a tourist destination that can continue to be developed. Hopefully, it can be increasingly recognized by the wider community, not only domestic but also foreign tourists," he uttered.

Its existence would also be very helpful for fishermen on the north coast of Jakarta in selling their catch.

"This is part of good integration. Traders can get marine products for visitors to enjoy. Meanwhile, fishermen also have no difficulty selling their catch or cultivation," he stated.
