," said Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), Jakarta Governor, Monday (2/2).Basuki continued, the city has done many anticipation methods, including the work of river flow system in the mid-lane.

However, Basuki continued, the improvement at south line still constrained by illegal building at the area.
"The river will overflow due to inadequate river volume. Actually, the main problem is the existence of luxury house that covers the river and reduce the width of the river to 3-4 meter from the original of 20 meters wide. So, we will continue to strive to demolish the building at the area," continued Ahok.
Basuki also admitted, his side still has problem about the land acquisition to build 9 new reservoirs in the capital.
"All of the reservoir are still not functioned well, land acquisition is also become our problem. So, I tell them to work on existing job as the embankment construction for this year to prevent the tidal flood," he added.
As known, there are 9 location of embankment construction in the capital as located in Cakung, Cilincing, Cengkareng, Rorotan, Marunda, Brigif (Jagakarsa), Pondok Ranggon, and Pantai Indah Kapuk.
