Jakarta Continues to Improve Public Transportation Service Standards

The Jakarta Provincial Government together with C40 Cities held a campaign "The Future is Public Transport". It was carried out during Car Free Day (CFD) at HI Roundabout, Central Jakarta, Sunday (12/4) morning.

Through this campaign, we prompt people to use public transportation for a sustainable Jakarta City

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo said that through this campaign, his party wanted to socialize to the public that the government had presented an integrated public transportation system that was environmentally friendly, safe, comfortable, and sustainable.

"This aims to increase public awareness of using public transportation. We continue to strive to improve public transport service standards, thus residents who use it feel safer, more comfortable and economical," he expressed.

"Through this campaign, we prompt people to use public transportation for a sustainable Jakarta City," he explained.

As for the information, C40 is a network of cooperation between cities in the world that are concerned about sustainable urban development.
